WIC eyes underage users

2017-11-07

The Fourth World Internet Conference will cover online protection of underage users for the first time, according to the latest agenda announced by the organizing committee on Nov 5.

Under the theme of "Developing Digital Economy for Openness and Shared Benefits — Building a Community of Common Future in Cyberspace", this year's Conference will further facilitate discussion and dialogue on digital economic activity, cutting-edge technologies, the Internet and society, cyberspace governance, and exchanges and cooperation. Leading figures from governments, international organizations, enterprises, technical communities and civil societies all around the world are expected to participate.

The Conference will be a platform for building a community of common future in cyberspace, promoting worldwide respect for diversity, focusing on mutual development, forging consensus and boosting innovation. It is our hope that more countries will join us in sharing the opportunities and outcomes made possible by the Internet's development and in shaping a better future for everyone in the new Internet era.
