Social networking and artificial intelligence will be the future for Sohu.com, said Zhang Chaoyang, the internet company's chairman and chief executive.
"We have a global internet that we can use for e-commerce and sharing information in our daily life, so I think it's important that we have these kind of meetings where we can discuss things like how should internet be involved, how should be progressing and how should decisions be made and so forth."
"The governance of internet is of paramount importance for our economy and the future of our politics," she said.
"It is a very logical speech and the four principles president Xi presented make senses. I believe internet should have rules and from the speech I know Xi is trying to achieve a balance between government surveillance and cyber security issues".
