10 global projects enter 'Straight to Wuzhen' 2020 final

Ten excellent projects out of a total 27 entrants from all over the world were selected to enter the final of the "Straight to Wuzhen" Global Internet Competition 2020 at the semi-finals held in Jiaxing, Zhejiang province on Oct 21.
The competition was held for the first time last year and is one of the most important features of the World Internet Conference (WIC). More than 800 projects from 15 countries and regions participated in this year’s event, which was divided into four stages: online preliminaries, regional quarterfinals, semi-finals, and finals.
After half a year of competition, 27 projects were successfully selected for the semi-final, covering multiple fields and key technologies like smart healthcare, consumer internet, industrial internet, public service internet and artificial intelligence, blockchain, 5G, the Internet of Things (IoT), as well as big data.
A special "digital anti-epidemic" themed competition has been set up to gather high-quality projects that have made outstanding contributions to digital anti-COVID-19 epidemic efforts, such as smart medical care, digital governance, and online services.
The 10 winning projects will participate in the finals and have the opportunity to share a cash prize of 5 million yuan ($748,183.54). In addition, as the venue of the conference, Tongxiang, Jiaxing will award winning projects that settle in the city one to five million yuan in fund subsidies and corresponding talent policy rewards.
Guided by the National Cyberspace Administration of China and hosted by the People's Government of Zhejiang Province, the "Straight to Wuzhen" Global Internet Competition is an international competition that focuses on the digital economy and runs throughout the year. It has built an important platform for domestic and foreign internet projects, technologies, as well as talents and capital cooperation by exploring new technologies, new models, and new business formats for internet development.
The competition is committed to promoting global internet cooperation and innovation, stimulating the vitality of internet entrepreneurship, gathering young internet talents, promoting high-quality global internet industry precision matchmaking, and contributing to global internet co-governance, as well as the prosperity and development of the digital economy.
