The Release Ceremony for 2021 World Leading Internet Scientific and Technological Achievements

The 2021 World Leading Internet Scientific and Technological Achievements Solicitation Notice was announced on the official websites of the Cyberspace Administration of China and the World Internet Conference in late May, garnering extensive attention and positive responses from the global Internet field. This year, we received more than 300 achievement applications from China, Russia, the United States, the United Kingdom, Sweden, Italy, New Zealand, and other countries and regions, covering the basic theories, technologies, products, business models, and other achievements related to the Internet. There has been a focus on 5G, quantum computing, high-end chips, high-performance computers, network architecture, basic operating systems, satellite Internet application, industrial Internet and intelligent manufacturing, and other cutting-edge technologies.

The 2021 World Leading Internet Scientific and Technological Achievements Recommendation Committee is composed of almost 40 experts from the global Internet field, with Mr. Wan Gang, Vice Chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and Chairman of the China Zhi Gong Party, serving as the Honorary Chair, and renowned Internet experts from China and Germany serving as the Co-Chairs. The Recommendation Committee will select the most outstanding sci-tech achievements in accordance with the principles of "fairness, impartiality, objectivity, and authority". Approximately 15 leading scientific and technological achievements will be unveiled at the 2021 World Internet Conference Wuzhen Summit.
